The ocean at sunset is a captivating time of day. It's made mesmerizing when one also adds majestic mountains. This gallery began during a Costa del Sol, Spain visit when I'm inspired by the waves & mountains. Since that time I add more images from Spain & elsewhere which capture the drama & excitement of waves surging against the beach at sunset.

Technically, many of these images are "dangerous" shots as I stand in knee-deep water hovering my camera 2 or 3 inches off of the undulating waters as I attempt to capture pixels. I must always keep my head turned towards the surging waves as I maintain my XYZ axis best I can to capture all that I feel and see before me while lifting the camera out of harm's way at the last second before the wave can cause harm. It's not a process that I think deeply about as much as it all comes to me as I react to what I see & feel.
