Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site

In 1864 There was an encampment of Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians that was attacked by the US Army. There is a barrier in front of the encampment. There are still remains there. Some escaped over the bluff, others dug holes in bluff to hide.

Those who do not remember the past are condemmended to repeat it.
