Southern Californians with an interest in growing cactus and succulent plants are lucky to have available one of the best collections open to the public at the Huntington Gardens and one of the most complete nurseries specializing in cactus and succulents, the California Cactus Center in Pasadena. Many of the larger general purpose nurseries also have large arrays of these plants, although they are seldom identified beyond the generic 'cactus' or 'succulent' tags.
