Next our tour took us to Cardiff, Wales. In the evening, we toured Cardiff Csstle. The original castle was built in the late 11th century by Norman invaders on top of a 3rd-century Roman fort. In the late 19th, wealthy coal magnate, John Crichton-Stuart, used his extensive wealth to have the castle completely remodeled in a Victorian Gothic Revival style. A little over the top, but beautiful. From Cardiff, we traveled on to Bath to tour the Roman ruins before proceeding on to Stonehenge.
