Alaska 2013 - A Guy Thing

North to Alaska! July 12-21, 2013, nine Texans travel to Alaska to take advantage of the annual salmon run on the Kenai Peninsula. After some sightseeing in Anchorage, Seward, and Homer, we settle down to a week of fishing. We stayed at Marlow's on the Kenai, near Soldotna. A very nice lodge run by a wonderful couple. We fished for king salmon on the Kasilof River, sockeye on the middle Kenai River and sockeye and rainbow trout on the Upper Kenai River. Unfortunately,a trip offshore for halibut got canceled due to Victory at Sea conditions.
