Great picture. I like how each man individually appears to be doing his own task, but when you stand back and look, it looks like part of one big production.

Ouf! Seems to be hot out there! Excellent capture.
I like your black and white tones too.

It's the simple things one may see everyday that makes the best subjects. This works great in b&w.

love this sharp&strong b&w picture...

Excellent. Reminds me of the slightly oversharpened SPs you took not too long ago. I think it works, as mentioned before, because of the dark backdrop through much of the frame. Like an impromptu studio..

Almost like one of those multi-exposure shots with the four workmen. Nice to see them hard at it.

Excellent candid, I like the different posing of the four workers!

I thought of 'Village People' when I saw this.

Love the gritty rendering to this Jeremy. Excellent!

Perfect contrast. Perfect light. Great!

I like the composition, Gary said it best, all on the same visual plane. Very nice capture.

Nice b&w shot Jeremy. Has nice contrast and light. I prepare a gallery with men at work from a construction of a building.
Guest 27-Apr-2005 09:40
at least they are working. :)
down here...it is more common to see them talking and taking a break. :P

I always wondered what happened to that band. :-))
Guest 27-Apr-2005 05:55
Now thats a sharp photo, really nice job with the bw conversion
Gary Winters27-Apr-2005 05:07
I like how all the men are on the same visual plane, with lots of black behind most of them.

Excellent. We have a relief in concrete on a bridge in City Park of the WPA workers in the 40's very similar to this scene.
Cheryl Hawkins27-Apr-2005 03:59
Excellent detail. There are four workmen gathered together and no one is leaning on a shovel! Must not be in California!
Karen Leaf27-Apr-2005 03:39
Jeremy thats a gritty sweaty kinda shot. So well executed and converted.

Oh yes! Excellent finish and good eye.
