G-Max Reverse Bungy!!! (Apr 07)

The G-Max Reverse Bungy was designed and developed in New Zealand, and introduced into Singapore at Clarke Quay in November 2003 as the country's first extreme ride. A specially designed, open-air steel capsule seats up to 3 people, and is attached by US-approved bungy cords to 2 towers. The chords are tightened and then released, catapulting the capsule and riders skywards up to 60m at speeds of 200km per hour! To add to the adrenaline rush of the riders, the capsule somersaults in the air several times as it is hurled up and down by the bungy cords. Each ride lasts for about 5 minutes, and riders experience G forces similar to those experienced by astronauts in a rocket launch...

This burst of shots captured the capsule somersaulting full-circle in midair even as it was being hurled up and down by the bungy cords, up to 60m high in the air and at speeds of 200km per hour. The riders in the capsule sure looked thrilled by it, judging from their facial expressions...
