This picture of a Bengal White Tiger was taken at the Singapore Zoo.
In the wild, Bengal White Tigers are found exclusively in South Asia, notably India. They are very rare, and only one White Tiger exists for every 10,000 normal orange-coloured tigers. They have brown strips on their white coat, pink paws and blue eyes, and are NOT albinos which are completely white. The unusual white coloration of their coat is a result of gene mutation - a permanent change in the gene controlling the coat coloration and the change can be passed on from one generation to another.
