Every year, the Singapore Chinese Garden is transformed into a magical land of lights and lanterns during the Chinese Mid-Autumn (Lantern) Festival in Aug/Sep. The 2005 show was based on the safari theme, and called the Lantern Safari 2005. It was the Singapore Chinese Garden's 30th year of celebrating the Lantern Festival, and arguably the biggest and best show yet! Filled with over 1100 pieces of lanterns, there were 23 awesome themes of lanterns, including the Bridge of Musical Fairies, leading into the Palace of Chang Erh, Dinosaurs' Lake, Dragons' Lair, African Savannah, and Noah's Ark, etc. The kaleidoscope of colours and special atmosphere presented by the Lantern Safari 2005 engulfed and striked all visitors from the moment they enter the Main Gate of the Chinese Garden... |
