October Sunrise

When I saw this sunrise, I immediately thought about Robin and Dan
and their homes in the San Diego area that are near the fires.
Keep them and all of So Cal in your prayers.
Dan is on his way now to see if he can get home.
His cat, Bailey, is home alone...

Prayers coming from the Vinyard!~ You've captured fire in the sky here definately~!
Glad to hear Dan's house is good as well as Dan, it would be devastating if he lost everything...

Good to know that Dan's place is OK. Maybe you called to flames in the PA sky and that saved a bit of So Cal, Jen!

It's a lovely sky, but a sad tribute. All my best to all concerned. FINGERS CROSSED.

I tried to get home today but there were roadblocks at the main intersections off the freeway.
I decided to try walking in from about a mile away after parking at a hotel there. Was then able
to make my way along a jogging path and up through a neighboring development to my street
and home to check on things. It was a ghost town but upon entering my place, there was little
smoke and just a light coating of ash from two sliding doors I had left open for air for my cat.
All looks okay but with the air still smoky and more smoke returning tomorrow (they say), I'm
staying away for another night.
PS: Bailey is safe for now.
PPS: I think Robin Reid's house is ok, but many homes in his community were lost. The story is
still unfolding here.
