Hat Creek

We camped along Hat Creek, in the shadow of Lassen Peak. The opportunities for fishing, hiking, biking camping, wildlife observation and natural history were many. Lava tubes, dormant and extinct volcanoes, massive lava flows and fault lines revealed a fascinating volcanic past.
We spent a few hours fishing the world renowned stream, and then hiked and biked geologic wonders while in the Hat Creek Area.
BONUS -> I discovered one of the best MTB rides in California.

This was one of the best trails I have ever ridden in California! and I have ridden alot of them.

 Since this seems to be an old fishing trail in a secluded part of Northern California I believe I may have been the first person to mountain bike it!
