We spent the weekend of June 25-27, 2004 camping along the North Fork of the Yuba River near Downieville, CA. Downieville is a lively little town in the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The town was very important during the Gold Rush days but was reduced to nearly a ghost town until rediscovered by mountain bikers nearly a decade ago. Today, Downieville is home to some of the best mountain bike trails anywhere in the world.

Our family enjoyed endless hours of fun in the sun ... wheather we were mountain biking, swimming in the river, panning for gold, trout fishing or just hanging out around the campfire.
