PHOTO #365!

Routine and tradition...two ideas with much overlap. Traditions are repeated and things that are repeated can become routine.

Each Thursday night, it is tradition for good friends to gather. We spend the evening teaching children with disabilities how to rock climb. Then, we enjoy plain, mediocre food together at the diner. There is nothing routine about it. I enjoy each and every Thursday night as if it was our first (the fact that I sometimes have been known to fall asleep at the table has nothing to do with my enthusiasm but rather is due to simple exhaustion).

I've been taking at least one photo each day and posting it here for a full year. Sometimes, the photo is average, other days it is downright uninspired. And, on rare occasion, there is a photo that moves...motivates. But, overall, I think I am exhausted. The uninspired photos have been spawning and I believe that it is time to take a rest.

So, I would like to express my gratitude to all who have been willing subjects, have spoken supportive words, or just stopped by for a peek. I'm going to continue to shoot photos but I'm going to wait for inspiration to carry me...and rest on those days that my camera just doesn't want to get out of bed. I have a new outlet with my resurrected blog ( http://www.findingfu.com/ ) and I hope that many of you will stop by from time to time.

For now, I'd like to finish this project with a simple photo...one that has everything to do with tradition and nothing to do with routine.
