I have survived for the past 9 months without cable. Sure, I still have my DVD player which is occasionally fed a meal from Blockbuster. But, there is no signal coming into my home on a daily basis. I had this difference of opinion back in January when I was trying to get service. I broke off our relationship when Comcast told me that they had no record of my service order even though I had a record of them billing my credit card a great deal of money.
Anyway, I was doing just fine until the third season of one of my vices started. In the past, I would have waited until the season was over so I could pick up the DVD's but technology spoiled my plans. Comcast will never get another penny from me but Apple has managed to find a way to separate $1.99 from me on a weekly basis.
