Most aspects of medical research can be very frustrating. It is usually dry and tedious. One often has to deal with arrogance and egos. Then there is the endless quest for signatures for various applications. I feel like an autograph-hunter...the only problem is that the autographs that I need to get could hardly compete in the eBay arena with even those of the former members of Menudo.
There, however, has been a bright side to my medical research nightmare (that from which I can't seem to wake). I often have to "visit" the department chairman's office (again, autograph-hunting) and have the opportunity to chat with two lovely individuals. Not only do Marcia and Stephanie lend me a hand in acquiring one of the most elusive of signatures, they are very generous with their gentle smiles and lively conversation.
Now that I am finishing my fellowship, perhaps I should continue on with medical research, if for no other reason than to have the opportunity to drop by Kessler.

Sorry, I have to cheat and add a second photo. It's my galley and I'm allowed :)
