I was working on a nice photo of the reflections in a small lake. There was a small waterfall and at that exact place, the reflections reached up to meet the actual trees.
Then, I came across this discarded beer bottle. The poor thing was decapitated right at its neck. I didn't know it when it was still whole and full of life, but I thought I would honor it. It is too bad that so many of us use things (or people), sucking the life out of it (or them), and discarding what is left which is usually but an empty, broken shell.
Well, it looks like someone had at least come across it and stood it up, preserving just a bit of its dignity. I'll do the same by giving it a moment in my mind.
