The forecast was for rain. It was too much to chance to drive up to the Gunks to climb so my friend, Anna, and I headed up to the northern part of New Jersey for a hike. It was a pleasant surprise to find pine forests, rocky ridges, and wide swamps. The autumn colors weren't bad either. I guess it never hurts to look in your own "backyard." The thin crust pizza wasn't bad either.
