I arrived in L.A. today for the Cerebral Palsy conference. The conference is at the Westin Hotel in Century City. It is a very nice place...much nicer than I'm used to. The rooms have comfortable, feather beds, and there is more room than I need. The cotton robe in the closet clued me in that this was meant to be a comfortable place to stay. After marveling at the special touches (I've spent a good deal of time during travels sleeping on dirt), I walked onto the balcony. This was the sight...I suddenly felt small again.
