I would call this sculpture "Siamese Whale Tails". These days, I guess we should call it "Conjoint Whale Tails". Either way, it is somewhat of a random sculpture to find in Livingston, New Jersey. Today, I was driving through the town in which I grew up and came upon the sign for Riker Hill Art Park. There were lots of cinder block buildings that looked like a government missile silo site rather than an art facility but I guess budject cuts for the fine arts have been deep. Anyway, I could have sworn that there were dinasaur fossils up there when I was in grade school but my memory lets me down sometimes.
Update: Holy cow! Look what I just found: http://alpha.fdu.edu/~bender/towerpic.html I had no idea about this site when I wrote about the missile silo above. Go figure. I knew the National Endowment for the Arts was just a right-wing front to further escalate the arms race ;) One of my favorites..."You can't hug your children with nuclear arms." (Thanks FAMILY GUY: http://www.fox.com/familyguy/index.html episode FG-114 "Death is a Bitch").
