In honor of its major donor, it has been named the "Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center." Located at Washington Dulles International Airport, the Udvar-Hazy Center provides much needed space for the objects that tell the history of aviation and space flight."

I was lucky enough to be able to visit this new museum on December 6th. It was a special day open only to VIPs and charter members of the Air and Space Society. Thanks to Bob Smith for sharing an extra ticket he had for the event. The museum is now open to the general public as of 12/15/2003. Enjoy - JMH

P.S. - The two panoramic shots did not turn out so good; I used PhotoShop to combine two handheld shots from the Canon S400. In order to do this well, one needs a special tripod and the use of manual exposure settings so that all photos have the same exposure. It is not difficult to see that the auto setting on my S400 used two different exposures for these shots, as lighting was different in each shot.
