Quarry family/friends Passport Weekend Celebration in Sierra Foothills (El Dorado) on Fri/Sat/Sun, April 16-18 2010.

During two glorious spring weekends each year, 26 El Dorado wineries host the region’s annual Passport wine and food event.

Passport Weekends feature plenty of fine wine and food pairings, barrel tastings, enjoyable art and music, and fun-loving participants. Warm weather and green surroundings along the wine trail add to the excitement of this springtime event.

Last year, as first-timers, I could not believe the extent to which Carolyn and I were welcomed in by all of the Quarry family and friends. This year, we already felt like family, but it was especially enjoyable watching the same thing happen to 2010 first-timers Tim and Allison.

Thanks to Patrick, Therese, Jeff, Mike and all of the Quarry family and friends for another amazing weekend. From the great party and Beerpong on friday night, to Saturday morning golden cadillacs at Reds, to wine tasting with a fabulous group on Saturday, to Jello Shots & Patrick's surprise birthday celebration Saturday evening, to ending it with a wonderful breakfast at Goldhill Vinyards on Sunday. This passport weekend turned out to be one unforgettable moment followed by yet another all weekend long.
