Eddie is my older brother. He's been playing guitar since the mid-Sixties and was rock-n-roll trailblazer in San Antonio, Texas. Over the years, he established himself as one of the top guitarists around. The bands and musicians he's played with are too many to mention. Needless to say, he has many friends in the music industry. Earlier this year, he suffered a seizure and he was unconscious for almost a month.

I'm happy to report that he's doing okay and is playing again but the medical bills took a heavy toll. He was pretty bummed out and thought he had to handle it alone. He was wrong. His friends put on a benefit for him at Sam's Burger Joint. There was a great turnout and the number of performers was impressive. The bands were Albert Garcia & Suprize Package, Ernie Garibay & Cats Don't Sleep, Roller, George Prado & the Regency Jazz Band, The Ceedar Squeezers, Lee Woods & The Blues Ball Busters, and, of course, Eddie & The Allniters with appearances by Jack Barber, Ruben Guaderrama of The Blazers, Ruben V, R.B. Blackstone, and The Westside Horns. I know I left out some people and for that I offer my apologies.

I took these picture at the show and sadly couldn't get everyone since I was drumming with the Allniters when we had an all-star cast. Any way, it was a wonderful night. Eddie learned just how much he's loved in this town. He was overcome with emotion from the outpouring of love.

To every person involved with my brother's benefit from the musicians, to the volunteers, the wait staff, and all the fans who came out in support, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
