This photograph is a reminder of one of the gifts of being a photographer-- we become more tuned in to noticing the beauty everywhere around us, even in places where we don't expect it. As I was heading back to Visalia from Hanford today, I noticed these beautiful sunflowers in front of a rather ugly, industrial building. I made a quick u-turn and went back to get a few frames. It's also a good example of why it's so nice to have a purse-size camera available for times when the "serious" camera is at home.
