Tourists in the garden of the Catherine Palace, Pushkin

15 miles S. of St. Petersburg

Julian, Jean, and Frieda asked to have this photo taken to send to Arthur, Jean and Frieda's colleague at Pace University. Originally a 16-room palace built by Peter the Great for his wife, Catherine in the early 18th century, the building was vastly enlarged by his successors Elizabeth and Catherine the Great. It was the summer home of the tzars through the beginning of the 20th century.
