This, the main building of the Academy, represents the typical Petersburg eclectic style. It seems to be three stories but is really seven and extends through the block. Among other amenities, the building includes a private chapel and two-story safe, with four separate keys; it was originally used to secure furs on the ground floor and jewels on the second.
