As you can see, the storm clouds were getting darker and darker in the distance! We heard only one thunder roll. And I really do mean "roll." The sound echoed in the canyons for what seemed like 15 seconds or so!

I wasn't too worried about hiking in the rain - even a huge storm like the one that was approaching. We were prepared for wet weather. BUT, I had no idea how we would put up the tent in a downpour. That thought alone kept me moving at a pretty good clip!
