It's become a tradition - every October my husband and I make a trip to Canyonlands National Park. The Needles District is our favorite destination. This year was no different, though it was the first year that stresses of life almost won out and we almost cancelled at the last minute. I'm so glad we didn't!
The weather forecast was for a 40% chance of rain on the day we arrived, 20% the day after and sunny skies for the day we left. The odds seemed pretty good. As you'll see from the photos, a 40% chance of rain in the desert can mean a LOT of rain! Luckily, it mostly skirted around us. Even more lucky, the photo ops were amazing!
