January 19

A few months ago CanadaPost decided that we could not longer have mail delivered to our old battered individual mailboxes, and gave us instead, these new 'community' mailboxes. Not only do I have to walk further, but so far the local hooligan element has seen fit to topple them over when they have nothing better to do. The change necessitated an address change because we had to have a new postal code too..and so far, it's been THE biggest headache trying to get companies to change ONLY the postal code and not b*gger up the entire address.

..No.
I stuck a label inside my box that says 'No Junk Mail' so now they don't leave it.

...and it must be a real pain to go down there and find you have no mail or just junk mail. Do you get all the pizza leaflets in there too?

LOL..Don't I wish... This is a big step up from having to go into town to collect your mail though.

Sorry about this - but what a CRAP idea!!
What is wrong with the good, old fashioned door letterboxes that we have in the UK?! Not sure I understand why you would need to have boxes at the end of the drive, or share with someone else?! They should just put up a big neon sign saying "vandals' rest" so they could do all they desire to other people's mail!
Hah. That's better! Rant and rave over with! ;)

We like to call them "Communist" mailboxes. "Communal" seems so much less threatening. I live on the edge of the communal box line....I wait with dread to be assimulated.
