I take pictures for all kinds of reasons. Some are for articles I plan to write,
others are for books, some for prints and some for no other reason than I like
the image I saw before I shot the picture.
These galleries started out as just a fun way to think about my photos. I quickly
realized that when viewed as a collection they had a certain life of their own.
The Human Touch is one I really like. There was some bio-feedback from doing
these galleries. I am now much more aware of different approaches to my subject
and find I've expand the sorts of shots I am after.
I started out as a big game photographer shooting for hunting magazines. This
style is featured in The Hunter's World. I still like this type of shooting but if you
look at my white-tailed deer gallery you can really see how these other galleries
have influenced my thinking.
