Generally, cars in Cuba ara very very much altered, because of the lack of parts! Very few kept their original US engines, being replaced by Soviet ones, and I'd be very surprised the original AC would be working at all!
I guess not many cars in 1958 anywhere had air conditioning. Oldsmobiles like this one were more likely to have air conditioning than less expensive brands.
