I was out by the wetlands area in my back yard this morning, mostly taking photos of a
mother duck and her 10+ little babies. There was also an iguana, but he was too fast and got away.
Then out of literally nowhere this red-shouldered hawk came flying in and landed about 10 feet
right in front of me! He looked me in the eye (photo above) and in the next 5 seconds was on his way (photo below).
I wish I could have gotten all of him in the frame as he departed, but I'm still happy with what I got.
Believe me .... it just happened so fast!
