"Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak Panorama"
This is five shots stitched together to create the final image. The red rocks are 400-500 feet tall, so the scale of this scene is massive! At the top left of the red rocks are the 'Kissing Camels". Take a look at this in original size to get a sense of the details!

This image won a POTD at www.digitalphotocontest.com on February 24, 2004! I was also contacted by the Colorado Springs Business Journal, who has expressed an interest in purchasing this photo to use on their web home page! Details to follow!

Very nice work here James! I'm a native of Colorado Springs (now in San Diego) and it was a joy to see The Mountain and the Garden of the Gods which have always been close to my heart!

Thanks JD... took me a while to get back here and thank you. I discovered my camera came with a pano program that worked fairly well... better than PixMaker Lite which is the freebie I had, although it did pretty good itself.

You certainly live in a wonderful area for landscapes.

That is really very well done.

Hello Ann,
I use Panorama Factory 3.0. I think it was about $60 and I donwloaded it from their site. It has a trial offer, but I think it leaves a company logo on your image. I recommend it, as it can do in minutes what I was unable to do in a couple of hours in Photoshop. I have not tried other stitching software, as I have not needed to look further than this one!

Beautiful! JD, would you mind telling me which pano stitching program you use. I have some photos I took in Idaho this past week I'd like to try stitching together.
