"PAD Workshop Week 2"
OK, This is not "my" shot for the day, but it is what I worked on tonight with respect to my photography hobby. This shot was posted as the PAD workshop at Patrick's site (vixeyswillie).
I took a shot at it, and really like what I came up with. The simple part was getting rid of the background. I painted over the background with white on a new layer, then cleaned up the edges with a soft edged eraser. I didn't like the way the baby on the right had his arm cut off at the edge of the photo. It took about four hours, but I was able to create the right side of the photo by cloning different areas in the photo. I had to recreate the baby's arm, and the mother's arm and leg. That was a pretty tough task, but I did it!! I also did a little dodging and burning, and some spot edits. Now it is time to go to bed!!!!! Goodnight to all!

Thanks Wes! I'm very proud of the editing I did here. It is the most difficult restoration work I've tried yet and I'm very happy with the results. By the way, this is not my photograph! It was posted on the PAD Workshop at Vixyswillie's PAD site. I agree withyou, it is a wonderful shot! I'm just highlighting the editing work here.
Thanks for your comments!!

AMAZING WORK. Your cloning work is so convincing, I still wouldn't be able to tell if you hadn't posted the original. The photo itself is also very nice. This one is surely one of your best!
