Adirondack Park is a state-protected preserve of 6.1 million acres in northeastern New York.
It encompasses the Adirondack Mountain range and contains both state-owned and privately owned land.
Famous for it's mountains, forests, lakes and streams, the region has twice hosted the Winter Olympics.
