Today is March 15, 2022. This is our first day hunting for photos of Crested Saguaro. Janet did a lot of research at home to find locations for Crested Saguaros that could either be seen from the road or were a relatively short hike to get to. We started the day going to Scottsdale McDowell Sonoran Preserve. The Crested Saguaro we are looking for here today is about 0.8 miles from the start of the relatively flat trail. It is actually only about two miles from where we used to live, but none of these trails existed at that time. Next, we go up to the Carefree / Cave Creek area to look for two more.
