We had concidered hiking up to Odaray Prospect and/or Grandview. However, I had blisters on my left heel and a swollen big toe on the same foot, Larry's back was bothering him and Corinne's knees, while Janet was doing fine. So, instead we decided on the Linda Lake and Cathedral Lakes trail instead. It was twice as long, but basically no elevation gain. However, it turns out there was so much up and down that I think it added up to almost as much climbing as we would have done going up Odaray! Plus just after lunch at Cathedral Lakes, Janet tripped, and with her hands in her walking poles, could not block her fall. She landed with a rock hitting her upper left lip. It swelled up and turned purple on our way back. Fortunately, it somehow missed her teeth! On the bright side, there were lots of great wildflowers on this route! Finally, in spite of feeling dead on the last part of our hike back, after showers and dinner, Janet & I did the Lakeshore trail loop around Lake O'Hara. Larry had gotten up every morning before breakfast and hiked it early, but this was our first time doing the full loop.
