On our way down to Seward, we stopped and took the short hike up to the edge of Exit Glacier, which is in Kenai Fjords National Park. Along the road up to the visitor center and again along the trail they have signs that show where the edge of the glacier used to be in various years. It is obvious how significantly the glacier has receded! Then the next day we took the Northwestern Fjords Tour into Kenai Fjords National Park with Kenai Fjords Tours. This is a long 9 hour cruise, but well worth it. It was their last cruise of the season (their shorter cruises continued for a few more weeks). Along with lots of Glaciers, Otters, Puffins, Seals, Sea Lions and Humpback whales, we also saw Orcas (close-up) which is the first time we have seen them here!
