Fortunately, there was no storm or wind creating large waves or we would not have been able to take the ferry to Isle Royale NP. We did have overcast and light showers at times, but also sunshine so the trip over and back went fine. It is a long ride of 3.5 hours each way with about 3.75 hours on the island. After eating a quick lunch near the visitor center there, I took the 4.5 mile roundtrip hike out to Scoville Point, on the eastern end of the island, while Janet stayed in the area around the visitor center and lodge. Neither of us was feeling well as we each had a bad cold/cough/???. Since I didn’t start immediately on the hike, I definitely had to hurry to make sure I was back in time to catch the ferry as they would not wait! Fortunately, I got back with about 20 minutes to spare! It is a place worth seeing and perhaps we will come again someday!
Since my wife and I each use a camera, I normally sort the images primarily by date and time, this time I am doing it a bit different. After we got off the boat and had lunch, I went on the hike to Scoville Point, while Janet stayed in the Rock Harbor area and took photos of squirrels and Mergansers in the harbor. So once we separate, I am showing her photos first, then mine from my hike until we join up again after my hike.
