We live in the general Portland, Oregon area. The most visible mountain (volcano) you can see is Mt. Hood. From various areas you can also see Mt. St. Helens and even Mt. Rainier. However, Mt. Adams is much harder to see and does not really have as much access as the others. I have included 5 images we took from near Trout Lake, Washington back in January of 2007. The rest of the images are also from the Trout Lake area, but near the end of November, 2020. You will notice that many of our photos are of the Western Larches in the area. For those that are not familiar with Larches, they are Conifers, but also deciduous! Dawn Redwoods are another example of deciduous conifers. This was just a little over a half-day trip, with an added stop at East Wind Drive-In in Cascade Locks, Oregon. We had seen it online and while we each got soft serve cones there, we did not opt for their extra large ones that are a foot tall! We plan on trying that next summer!
