Giant Sequoias at the start of the boardwalk. You can stay on the boardwalk for a 0.3 mile hike, or it is just the start of a number of longer hikes. This day we did the Grizzly Giant Loop Trail, which is 3 Miles, with 300 ft. elevation gain. It was a good trail, but we were dissapointed that there were very few Giant Sequoias on the second half of the trail. If we had more time we would have taken the Mariposa Grove Trail to the Guardians Loop Trail. That combo would be about 6-7 miles with a 1200 ft. elevation gain, but goes out to a much larger grouping of Giant Sequoias.
