We are now on our flight to Cape Krusenstern National Monument, Noatak National Preserve, and Kobuk Valley National Park. We will land in each for up to 30 minutes. Here we are crossing the Sheshalik Spit area at the southern tip of Cape Krusenstern National Monument. This is part of the area we can see from the sea wall next to our hotel. The buildings seen are used by natives (Inupiat) during the summer for fishing and berry picking.
