This is a Western Diamondback rattlesnake, in our back yard!

My wife was looking out the kitchen window and our Springer Spaniel, Molly, was barking and jumping up and down, so we went out to see what it was. What a surprise! We called the fire department and they came and got it with a snake stick and put it in a 5 gallon paint bucket. They then carried it through the house and that was when our daughter, Kristina, said it sounded like Fajitas! For my photos, I found that as long as I did not get closer than 3 feet, it didn't seem to mind. When I did, the tail started rattling, and I quickly backed up!
