This is a trip that really breaks down into two separate parts. We flew to Fairbanks, and rented a "ruggedized" Ford Escape from www.arctic-outfitters.com and drove it to Deadhorse (next to Prudhoe Bay) and back. Then for the second part of the trip, we turned that in for a "smaller" car to drive down to Denali for a couple of nights.

Both parts were very rewarding for both scenic and wildlife opportunities!
