These images are after my D200 was sent to Nikon's USA West Coast Repair (twice) to fix its focusing, especially its close-focusing. These images are all handheld (except the Jeffery Pine Cone), and have absolutely no post processing other than reducing the image size. The camera was set on "Vivid" mode for all these shots. I know I could probably have improved the images further, but I intentionally wanted to post them "as is", from the camera, other than resizing. I used my 18-200 VR, 18-200 VR with a Canon 500D close-up lens, 70-200 VR, 70-200 vr with a Canon 500D close-up lens, and my 50 mm f1.8 for these images. There is no question that focusing is significantly improved over what it was before Nikon fixed it! By the way, all photos of flowers were taken in my yard here in Oregon. Everything we have planted in the yard (other than grass) are plants native to the Northwest!
