We spent the weekend of Oct 4-5, 2017 at the campground at South Beach State Park, just South of Newport, Oregon. It is a very nice campground and is very level, making it great for bikes, especially for young kids. During the day on Sunday, we drove down to Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, between Florence and Reedsport, Oregon and to Darlingtonia Wayside State Natural Area, which is just North of Florence.

This gallery is at the Darlingtonia Wayside - State Natural Site. It is home to the Darlingtonia californica, which goes by common names like Cobra Lily, Cobra Orchid, and Pitcher Plant. It is an insect eating plat that is found in boggy areas in Northern California and Southwestern Oregon.
