These photos are by Janet. We were both going to go to our friends’ cabin for 3 nights and go to Crater Lake on one of those days. However, our dog, Sasha, was sick at the time, so I volunteered to stay home with the dog and encouraged Janet to go. Fortunately for her, she got a beautiful, sunny day at the park! After the photo of the entry sign, all the photos are from the “Rim Village” area along the southern portion of the rim. Do note that while there is a thin layer of ice covering part of the lake, it has rarely ever covered the entire lake. The last time that happened was in 1949.
