Today, we are moving our trailer from near Bryce Canyon to Green River, Utah, as it is much closer to Goblin Valley State Park. On the way there, we first drove on Hwy 12 through a large portion of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and then more of Dixie National Forest. It was a beautiful drive, and it was obvious that the area through Dixie National Forest must be beautiful in the Fall with large groves of Quaking Aspen. Once we passed all that, we then passed through a portion of Capitol Reef National Park. There we photographed some of the features that we on Hwy 24, went to the Visitor Center, and then about a mile south of that to get a couple of small pies (about 5-6 inch diameter) at the Gifford House in the Fruita Historical District within the park. Then we returned to Hwy 24 and continued to Green River, passing the entrance to Goblin Valley State Park about 45 minutes before we got to Green River.
