This is the second destination on our trip and we stayed at Bryce Canyon Lodge. This is the first winter they have had the lodge open. In reality, it is not the main lodge itself, but instead in their Sunset Point rooms, as the main lodge is not insulated for winter and due to its design cannot be. However the accommodations were still great, and in a great location! We definitely had a lot more snow here than at Zion. In fact in order to hike down into the HooDoos, we had to have chains on our boots. They were well worth it. We hiked down the trail at Sunset Point and came back up at Sunrise Point. About a 2.5 mile hike that is fantastic!
