We drove down to Northern California since the center path of the eclipse passed through Lassen Volcanic National Park, and it had been many years since we had been there. This gallery is of the eclipse photos themselves, and I have a second gallery at this level showing our location, near Bumpass Hell parking area in Lassen, and the people there for the eclipse.
The photos here were shot with a 600 mm lens (that I rented), with a TC 1.4 attached, thus making an equivalent of a 840 mm lens. This was mounted on my Nikon D7000, with is a 1.5x DX camera, making the "reach" the equivalent of a 1260 mm lens! This allows you to see sunspots in most images.
