This was a one day trip from our home and back. We first drove to Cape Kiwanda (at Pacific City) and had an early lunch of Fish & Chips & Clam Chowder at Pelican Brewing Company (both excellent). Then other than a few shots from the beach, we decided that hiking up the dune to the top of Cape Kiwanda would be left for another day (we came back 9 days later and those shots are in a separate gallery). From there we traveled to Cape Lookout and hiked about a mile out the Cape Trail. We stopped there as it became very muddy beyond. Then we went to Cape Meares, with its decommissioned lighthouse and its Octopus Tree. Finally, we stopped at Tillamook Creamery for ice cream before heading home.
